Wii and cockroach attraction

There is a rumour that says that Wii frequencies may attract cockroaches. I have the Wii console for one year now and I haven’t had any problems at all with cockroaches. I haven’t even seen one ever at home. Not to say that this rumour sounds stupid.

Lets analyze it a bit. The Wii communication methods are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Wi-Fi is everywhere in out cities. At home, Work, magazines, commercial centers and I haven’t seen any cockroach invasion or increment at this places. The same happens with Bluetooth. Every one of our mobile phones has got Bluetooth implemented, and if you search for devices at your workplace, home or public tansportation, you will find hundreds of Bluetooth active communication devices. And this have been happening for at least 6 or 7 years and, once again, I haven’t seen any cockroach increment since then…

Any other vibration that could be emitted by the Nintendo Wii, would be emitted by any other electonic device as, consoles, televisions, computers, mobile phones, PDAs, laptops… And they are probably much more time switched on than our Wii console. So the conclussion is that this is a fake rumour or, as it is usally called, a hoax. Who really started it a why? I don’t know, but probably he wanted to make Wii unpopular and I think he is achieving the opposite.

Haha. I haven’t heard of that rumour before, but it does sound crazy. I don’t think I have ever seen a cockroach here in the UK, anywhere, nevermind in my living room at home. I don’t think the thought of some cockroaches breaking into my home and attacking my Wii would put me off from keeping it in the house.

    Entertaining read though!
